Numbers That Don't Make Cents!

The scriptures say, that there will be a time when young men hearts shall fail them, because of the troubled times in which we exist. The scripture discuss the very elect being deceived should time be allowed to progress on.
Time, numbers and truth continue to shout warning signs to us , and some how we continue to walk past the warnings right into "dire straits" --- my soul wonders! The numbers just don't make cents ... or maybe they do, and it's something else wrong!
In the US we have 10 % unemployment, while 3% percent of Americans earn 100k, and 4/10 of 1% earn 500K. Today we are building more prisons and jails than schools, and by default punishing more than we educate; we live in a country where we have more people filing for bankruptcy than graduating from college - perhaps we should add financial literacy to our reading literacy programs.
Today over 50% of America's equity is owned by non Americans - Europeans, Chinese/Japanese, Middle East - that's scary. The American family is under seize - nearly 40 % of babies, born in the United States in 2007, were delivered by unwed mothers; 50% of marriages end in divorce; 46% of America spend more than they make every month, and 66% of Americans have less than $2500 cash purposed for emergency savings!
One has to wonder if the founding fathers expected these results, as they penned these famous words:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
And while we face some of our greatest challenges emotionally, financially and socially our organizations designed to help ... our churches, our schools and our goverment tend to be overly involved in attempting to regulate one another - churches seem to have stopped praying - Pastors were asked how long they spend in prayer each day, and what they pray for. The median amount of prayer time per day is 30 minutes, with a mean of 39 minutes. Although younger ministers are much less satisfied with their prayer life, they spend about as much time in prayer per day as do older ministers. Lutherans and Presbyterians tend to spend less time in prayer than do those from other denominations, while Pentecostals and Methodists spend more time than average.
Our schools systems seem to be caught up in governing, and our goverment seems to focused on teaching, but not necessarily teaching, as our parents once knew - our leaders seem to be bent on teaching one another a lesson - vengeful, mean spirited revenge!
These numbers just don't make cents, in fact they don't make sense either!
