Over the last year, I’ve spent thousands of dollars & hundreds of hours researching home/internet based businesses, personalities, experts and so-called guru’s. Most of the material and experts were anything but excellence; however, there are companies and individuals that stand out – we’ll discuss several today!
Mike Dillard, Joe Schroeder. Ann Seig, Dale Calvert, Bob Proctor and Mark Hoverson are just a few of the individuals I studied with, and invested in … each of these individuals focused on marketing, self promotion and “SELF” branding; I believe each of them are correct in many areas; however, I’ve not been able to gather a completely tangible picture or understanding of their theories/ideas, and therein lays the rub – each of these experts asked for and received 100% of my money and attention, while I received less than 50% of the entire solution offering from each expert. – as I purchased one series that led to another series, that promised complete and total illumination, I was given just enough to keep me coming back for more.
I’ve come to the conclusion that these leaders and their materials provide a shadow of things that are, and things that will be in this industry; but, just as I have had to do with Edision, Franklin, King, Ford, Malcolm X and many others I’ve studied, I’m having to invest my own original & authentic thought, and emotional substance.

The Painful Truth - Americas Silence Epidemic !
It may not be discussed as often as pleasure. But pain, like pleasure, is one of our most universal human experiences. In fact, the Joint Commission recently named pain as the "fifth vital sign"-a condition to be evaluated alongside temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. We have studied pain extensively, so that we can better help you manage it.
Whether it's the dull throb of an overworked muscle or the grating stiffness of joint discomfort, pain affects millions of Americans on a daily basis. And too often, those suffering from pain feel that they have no choice but to live with its effects. Fortunately, most pain can be managed with treatment and therapy, facilitating better physical performance, reducing the severity of symptoms, improving the quality of life, and enabling your body to perform at the highest level possible.
Here Are Some Facts About Pain That You May Not Have Known
• 80 million Americans are "Weekend Warriors" who experience muscle aches and pains.
• 76 million Americans suffer from pain each day.
• 40 million Americans suffer pain from Arthritis.
• 26 million Americans between 20-64 experience frequent back pain.
The Burden of Pain on Every Day Life
• The annual cost of chronic pain in the United States, including healthcare expenses, lost income, and lost productivity, is estimated to be $100 billion. (2)
• More than half of all hospitalized patients experienced pain in the last days of their lives and although therapies are present to alleviate most pain for those dying of cancer, research shows that 50-75% of patients die in moderate to severe pain. (3)
• An estimated 20% of American adults (42 million people) report that pain or physical discomfort disrupts their sleep a few nights a week or more. (4)
Commonly-Reported Pain Conditions
• When asked about four common types of pain, respondents of a National Institute of Health Statistics survey indicated that low back pain was the most common (27%), followed by severe headache or migraine pain (15%), neck pain (15%) and facial ache or pain (4%). (1)

• More than three quarters of patients (77%) reported feeling depressed.

Data from the American Productivity Audit, a computer assisted telephone survey of health and work, of 28,902 working adults between August, 2001 and July 2002, was used to estimate lost productive time due to headache, arthritis, back pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions expressed in hours per worker per week and calculated in US dollars.
• Over half (52.7%) of the workforce surveyed reported having headache, back pain, arthritis, or other musculoskeletal pain in the past two weeks, and 12.7% of all workforce lost productive time in a two-week period due to pain.
• Headache (5.4%) was the most common pain condition prompting lost productive time: followed by back pain (3.2%), arthritis pain (2%) and other musculoskeletal pain (2%).
• Overall, workers lost an average of 4.6 hours per week of productive time due to a pain condition.
• Other musculoskeletal pain (5.5 hours/week) and arthritis or back pain (5.2 hours/week) produced the largest amounts of lost productive time.
• Headache produced, on average, 3.5 hours of lost productive time per week.
• Age did not seem to attenuate the findings.

• Among the major adjustments that chronic pain sufferers have made are such serious steps as taking disability leave from work (20%), changing jobs altogether (17%), getting help with activities of daily living (13%) and moving to a home that is easier to manage (13%).

• Forty percent made an appointment with a specialist, such as an orthopedist.

Attractive Marketing vs. Ugly Marketing
Attraction Marketing vs Sleazy Salesman
You know what it’s like. You are sitting down enjoying your dinner or spending time with your family and you get the dreaded phone call from a phone provider company that swings straight into their sales pitch.
Before you even have time to say anything, they are manipulating you and trying their absolute best to try and convince you to buy their products. Isn’t it just the worst sales tactic in the world? And aren’t they not just the most annoying people in the world?!
This is not good for the company’s business or the company’s credibility and it sure has to be awful for the telephone salesman’s self esteem. Can you imagine having to do that every day and get hung up on and abused?
Since you spend so much time working – it makes more sense to be spending the time doing things that you enjoy rather than doing things that make you feel like a ‘needy’ loser.
This is not uncommon practice also in the world of network marketing – where your upline teaches you to cold call leads and spend your time convincing people that what you have is something that ‘everybody’ needs. (I know what that feels like and it’s not much fun at all).
Automate Your System
So, can you see how an automated system that sifts and sorts for you and weeds out the tire kickers, so that by the time you speak to your prospects they are already sold and you don’t have to sell a thing, changes the dynamics drastically?
Now people are coming to you, you are not in the ‘convincing’ game and certainly not in the brute force selling game. There is no need to do a course in “sleazy sales tactics 101″ to score a lousy sale. You are simply putting a ‘money machine’ to work for you 24/7. You even have a call centre calling your qualified applicants for you…. Now it doesn’t get better than that!
Remember that just because you have a system in place that will sort and sift for you, does not mean that you don’t have to do any work. In fact, I expect every single one of my team members to work very hard. But what it does mean is that you don’t have to waste your precious time on people who are actually not even interested in growing a business. It means that you can spend 100% of your time on income generating activities and with the “right” people.
Do you have any idea what that is worth not only in financial terms, but your time freedom and your DIGNITY?
YOU control the relationship – not the other way around.
This is critical to your positioning and ultimately your freedom. So , don’t ignore this strategy. It will change the way you do business forever and make you actually very comfortable and happy in what you do.

Power Of Thought
Kevin K. Hemphill has spent a lifetime engaging, examining and exercising thought. Sorting VS. Selling
Convince a man against his will, and he will be of the same opinion still…
The most powerful words you can ever speak come from the mouth of a wise man, your prospect.
Talking about your target market, consider the following example:
Who would you think is better at selling an idea, a 5 years old kid still sucking on his thumb or an experienced sales person? You would think the sales person right? But when you truly understand prospecting, a 5 year old kid would be more effective at getting their idea across than a sales person.
Learning How to Sort Rather Than Sell
Kids know how to sort rather than sell… they will find the right audience to promote to. The 5 year old will market to his mother knowing their father is not the right candidate. Now at the opposite end, how many times have we banged our head against the wall and tried coming back to the same prospect hoping to have a different result? Or that we have gotten so good at closing everyone, that later on they don’t pick up our phone calls once their emotional state wears off.
I’ve Been There
Selling is the art of persuasion. A lot of experienced closers can literally use emotional triggers to get someone to make a purchase on the spot. But what usually happens is it results in buyer remorse. Then what happens is your new rep will either try to get a refund or disappear all together. Sorting is a process of systematically capturing, filtering, and sorting out the right prospects.
You must have a system and a pipeline in place. Your system should be doing all the selling and sorting for you and all you should do is reach out to the qualified ones. Think of a supreme water filter with 10 layers of filtering. What comes out from the other side when you pour a cup of water/ sand/ dirt mix through? Clear water comes through on the other side right? And all you do afterwards is reap the rewards. So this is exactly how your system must work. Filter out the tire kickers and only talk to the action takers.
Simple Right?
Of course another key component to make the sorting process work is massive lead generation.
There are actually many options: blogs, pay-per-click, ezines, articles, postcards, direct mail, social networking… just to name a few. Make sure you educate yourself with the basics first before you get into paid advertising. Otherwise you will lose a lot of money making mistakes you could have avoided, which we have already spoken about in earlier lessons.
Let the prospects convince you that they are serious. Most network marketers are taught to sell and convince other people how great their opportunity is or how amazing the compensation plan is, and even how wonderful the company is. Real prospects are looking for leaders! Not companies or products. They’re actively looking to join a leader or a system that can help them make money. The beautiful part is you don’t have to make a lot of money to be perceived as a leader. Which means you can attract enormous amounts of prospects to you too. Now, the question you need to ask yourself is…
Do You Have a System?
Are you speaking to the most qualified people who are already interested in joining your business? Or are you wasting time speaking to everyone?
When I first got started in this industry, my entire mindset was different. I was taught to just speak to as many people as humanly possible. It’s a numbers game right? Well, yes and no. You see, if you’re wasting time speaking to a ton of people who aren’t the “right” target audience, what have you done? You have just spent all your valuable time on people who have a very low chance of joining your business when you could have been speaking to ONLY interested people.
Wasted Time Equals Decreased Sales and Profits
Now, if you’re spending more time with only the most qualified people who are very interested in what you have to offer, then all of a sudden, your sales jump up and your profits increase. Without a marketing system to filter people, you will never get to the income levels that you are looking to be at. It’s just simply impossible. Remember, all a successful business is, are systems and processes that work at a high efficiency.
Be honest with yourself.
Do you have efficient systems and processes in your business?
If your answer is “NO”, that’s probably why you’re not at the income level you desire.
