I love the Internet, it is basically a giant lead generation machine. However it is disheartening to see so many MLM professionals neglect traditional recruiting systems, that worked in the past and still work today.
Namely Recruiting with Postcards. Postcards are a fantastic way to generate fresh, responsive MLM Leads. A good postcard with an attention getting headline, will usually be read in full. Compare this to how most people view their email today. 99% of your prospect are checking their email with their finger on the delete button.
In the early nineties postcards where the hottest way to create prospects for your business. I would personally receive 10-20 postcards weekly. By the end of the decade email marketing had totally replaced recruiting with postcards.
Today a few savy marketers are now using postcards to drive traffic to their website! You don't have to have prospects call you personally or listen to your sizzle message, you can send them directly to your online lead capture page.
If you are not using postcards as part of your lead generation campaigns, I highly recommend that you start right now! I know you will be shocked with the positive results. There are 3 important steps to creating a successful postcard campaign.
Step 1
Design your postcard. The best way to do this is keep a "swipe file" of postcards that personally get your attention. Make sure that you don't just focus on postcards within your niche. Pay close attention to every postcard you receive.
Step 2
Make sure your website is designed to capture leads! I cannot stress the importance of this. Follow up is more important than the initial contact, and if you don't have away to capture the potential clients that the postcards send to your website, you are throwing away your money. This is an important step, don't skip it!
Step 3
Test a mailing list. The key word is TEST. There are many companies that offer mailing list. When you acquire a list, don't make the mistake of sending out 1,000, 5,000, or more postcards all at the same time. Test 100, if you are satisfied with the results, send 250 more, then bump it to 500. At this point you have mailed a total of 850 postcards and should have a good idea if this particular list is going to be profitable for you. If the numbers make sense, now go ahead and mail the entire list.
Once you have created a profitable, effective campaign with the right postcard, the right website and the right list, the sky is the limit. Just duplicate this process over and over and tremendous success will follow.
There are numerous companies that can provide you quality postcards for a very reasonable investment.
There is simply no excuse in today's world for professional marketers not using postcards to generate leads for their MLM business, or any other business for that matter. I sincerely believe this is a trend that will only continue in popularity. Take some time, become self educated and master postcard lead generation right now and get ahead of the trend!

You know how it starts; those little muscles in the corner of your mouth mobilize, your teeth to peek from your lips, then...booyah! You're smiling. A smile is like a priceless little charity, or an unexpected warm hug for your face. One of those instant comforts that cost us nothing more than a few moments, but has the ability to softly resound with us for years at a time.
Smiles dog-ear the pages of our favorite memories; maybe it's your child's first toothless grin, or the first time you saw your wife ( a personal favorite). Maybe it's your hometown team finally winning that championship, or a quick grin from that passing stranger just when you think the world is personally raining on you.
While surfing the movie channels last night I came across Pay it Forward, a truly uplifting little film about a 12 year old boy who embarks on a journey to better the world with good deeds. I'd seen the film before, but couldn't help but pause at the simplicity and poignant efforts of the kid and his teacher. It reminded me smiles are a daily opportunity to acknowledge the very beauty in of each of us. An opportunity to pause and remember we actually are all in this together. Because sometimes it's not what you have that makes a difference in someone's day, it's what you give.
Try giving out a smile or two today, I bet you'll get a few back!

I have been in the MLM/network marketing industry for a while, and one of the most important things I have figured out is that there is one common trait that all successful people or the "MLM Gurus" in this industry share. I believe that it is this one trait that separates the "have's" from the "have not's". This one trait is so vitally important that you must possess it to have any chance of becoming a MLM Guru yourself.
What is the trait? Well instead of just giving you the answer let's chronicle the professional life's of three of the most successful MLM Gurus in this industry. See if you can pick out the trait that led them to greatness, before I tell you what it is.
Three MLM Guru's One Trait
Mike Dillard: Mike fell flat on his face when he first started in this business. He couldn't sponsor anyone outside of a couple of close friends and relatives. He struggled for years trying to build his MLM business. Then once he thought he had met up with the right people, positioned himself in a growing organization, and was finally ready to succeed....... 9/11 happened. He was back to ground zero; no one on his team was interested in moving forward.
What did Mike do? Well one thing is for sure, he didn't quit. He continued to increase his value to others by constantly learning and working his business. He didn't let 9/11 or anything else stop him. He kept going until he perfected the skills necessary to recruit an army of motivated distributors. His persistence allowed him to build the 2nd largest downline in his primary opportunity. He has since gone on to become one of the best trainers in the MLM industry. Moving on.....
Mark Wieser: Mark started out much the same way Mike Dillard did. He fell flat on his face when he started. Believe it or not, he was afraid to even pick up the phone and call a prospect (this is especially shocking because he now has his own e-book on how to talk to prospects on the phone).
What did Mark Do? He kept pushing through his fears of calling people and after hundred's of rejections he noticed something......he was getting better. He started to recruit 20-30 people a month, by doing nothing more than cold calling leads (for those of you out there who have ever "cold called" a lead, you know how impressive this is). His persistence, attention to detail, and constant improvement of skills has made him very wealthy. He is now considered by many to be the best phone prospector in this industry. How about Jimmy Davis, how did he succeed........
Jimmy Davis: Jimmy started at a VERY young age (14) in this industry. When Jimmy joined his first MLM, he had to have his parents sign a waiver form to get him in. As you might expect, he struggled for the next 6 years trying every scheme, scam, and opportunity out there. All his friends and family had all but lost faith in him. But he kept with it (noticing a trend here?).
Jimmy was fed up with failing. He decided to start calling everyone he could find online and off that was successful in MLM. He was looking for "the secret" that they knew that he didn't. After many calls to many "MLM Guru's" he finally figured it out. They didn't have any secret; there was no secret traffic source, magic saying, or anything! The only thing the MLM Guru's were doing that he wasn't was positioning themselves as experts. After learning the so called "secret" he quickly applied that knowledge and the rest as they say is history. He now owns his own multi-million dollar company called My Story Marketing, and is one of the industry's top trainers.
So What's The Trait?
